Airlines around the world are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to promote their services. So when we were approached by D&I agency with the opportunity to promote a campaign for TUI, the Dutch airline company, we put our minds together to create something fun for everybody.
We are very excited to share with you our latest app: The TUI Bucket List. This app, available at www.tuibucketlist.com, is a chance for anyone to create a bucket list of activities to do while traveling in The Netherlands. The activity with the most votes at the end of the campaign wins an awesome prize: two roundtrip tickets to The Netherlands sponsored by TUI!
What made this campaign so successful was the simplicity of the user experience. The road to winning just takes a few steps. You register by signing in with Facebook, add activities to your bucket list, share these with friends via Facebook, rally to get the most votes and win!
The campaign ended on November 6th and we are very happy with the results. Over 7,000 people registered at www.tuibucketlist.com with over 1,000 ideas for activities to do in The Netherlands. We really enjoyed monitoring the engagement of this campaign – lots of good travel ideas were shared and voted up.
The TUI #Bucketlist campaign was a chance for us to flex our creative and technical muscles. Our biggest challenge was having a short deadline with a lot of functionality to build, but we were successful because of our teamwork and “make it happen” attitude. A big shoutout goes to our development team who integrated the Facebook registration and sharing functionality into the web app, to our awesome UX designer who built a clean and simple interface, and to our project manager for bringing it all together.
